Miniso Group, a Chinese consumer goods retailer whose stock is already traded in New York, is considering a second listing in Hong Kong next year, Bloomberg reported on Thursday, citing individuals with knowledge of the matter. The firm is working with Bank of America Corporation and UBS Group AG on the proposed share sale to raise a few hundred million dollars in Hong Kong. Miniso has not issued an official response to the reports.

During China’s largest shopping season ‘Double Eleven Shopping Festival’ in November, Zhejiang Consumers Council tested five major e-commerce platforms including Taobao, Pinduoduo, JD.com, Kuaishou and Douyin. On Thursday, the council summoned the five platforms and the involved live-streaming hosts, requesting them to submit rectification reports on issues including false advertising and poor product quality before December 28.

India’s Income Tax Department has conducted raids of the offices and manufacturing plants of a range of firms including Xiaomi, OPPO, OnePlus and Foxconn in a major crackdown, Business Standards reported on Thursday.
According to the report, the raids started on Tuesday evening when officials from the department conducted a surprise raid at several offices, including Redmi, OPPO and Foxconn’s manufacturing unit at Sunguvarchatram near Sriperumbudur.

Chinese internet giant Tencent on Thursday announced that it will distribute about 460 million shares of China’s largest retailer JD.com to shareholders in the form of interim dividends. Tencent‘s shareholding ratio in JD.com will reduce from 17% to 2.3%, losing its status as the largest shareholder of JD.com. In addition, Tencent President Martin Lau will also step down as a director of JD.com.
ByteDance’s Office Platform to Accelerate Overseas Commercialization
Lark, a collaborative office communications platform owned by ByteDance, will speed up its overseas commercialization next year, with a global revenue target of 6 billion yuan ($942 million) in five years, LatePost reported on Wednesday.
The move follows weak growth this year of Lark’s version for the Chinese domestic market, Feishu. Feishu had previously set a goal of 10 million daily active users (DAU) in the first half of 2021, but the actual DAU was only 3 million in March and about 4.5 million in November.

Honor, a smart device provider based in China, officially announced on Tuesday that its first folding screen flagship smartphone, Magic V, will soon be released.
According to previous reports by digital bloggers, the release date of its folding screen model is tentatively scheduled before the Spring Festival, and will have a similar shape to the Huawei Mate X2.
